When you choose to travel with the ferry operator Color Line you can choose between six international ferry routes and ten ferry ports in Norway, Germany, Denmark and Sweden.
Color Line is Norway's largest and one of Europe's leading ferry companies and provides transportation solutions for people and freight. Color Line was created through a merger between Jahre Line and Norway Line in 1990. The first ship - M/S Kronprins Harald, built for Jahre Line AS, embarked upon its maiden voyage from Oslo in 1961. In that same Color Line acquired the Fred. Olsen ferry operations. Larvik Line joined the company in October 1996, followed by Scandi Line in September 1998. The Color Line ferry fleet consists at the moment of 10 vessels.

Please Note
Color Line has announced that the Oslo to Hirtshals service will be discontinued from 6th May 2008. The M/S Prinsesse Ragnhild vessel, which operates on this service, will be offered for sale on the international market. Passengers, who have booked after this date, are able to rebook on any other Color Line route.
